Margaret "Peggy" Etmanski Of 94 Wright Crescent, Kingston passed away at home on Monday, August 12, 2002. She was 81. Mrs. Etmanski was born the daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine MacDonald of Orwell Cove, Prince Edward Island. She had been a resident of the Kingston area for 35 years. Peggy was a homemaker/mother and attended St. Joseph Parish on Palace Road and was member of the CWL and Legion of Mary. Mrs. Etmanski was a lifetime member of the volunteers at Hotel Dieu Hospital and Birthright (knitting many infant outfits). Her special interests included playing bridge. She is survived by her children Allan Etmanski (Vickie) of White Rock, B.C.; Louise Ruttan (Robert) of Harrowsmith; Leona Etmanski (Carl Evers) of Whitehorse, Yukon; Elaine Etmanski of Brampton; James Etmanski (Nancy) of Wellington and Ann Marie Smith (Martin) of Courtice; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, her sisters Mrs. Estelle McKenna, Sister Mae MacDonald C.N.D. and brother Newman MacDonald, all of PEI and sister Mrs. Catherine McNamara of Arlington, Ma. Mrs. Etmanski was predeceased by her husband Walter Leo in 1988, her parents and sister Bernadette MacDonald. The Funeral was held on August 15, 2002 at St. Joseph Church, Kingston. Officiating Clergy was Father F.M. O’Connor. Pallbearers were her twelve grandchildren.
