Ola May Caird Passed away on December 4, 2002, at her home in Westbrook, at the age of 82. She was born on Sunnyside Road, the daughter of the late Nelson and Eva Babcock. She attended Sunnyside Public School. In her early teens she worked for many friends and neighbours in the Cataraqui area as well as helping her mother at home. In 1939 she married Raymond Caird and became a housewife and farm wife looking after the farm while her husband worked at another job. She then became a mother to son Clifford and daughter Jean. She loved gardening, cooking, canning and knitting. She was an active member of Ladies Aid which is now the U.C.W., home and school and friend of Westbrook United Church. She is survived by her husband Raymond, son Clifford, daughter Jean, sisters Helen Reid, Kingston, Mrs. William Campsall (Margaret), Verona, and brother Albert, Kingston. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Robert and parents Nelson and Eva Babcock. The Funeral was held on December 7, 2002. Rev. Jeanne Oulton officiated. Pallbearers were Doug Gordon, Fred Chapman, Ray Cumpson, Paul Reid, Glen Lake and Robert Brown. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. 014297 12/21/2002- ID1193092 - Kingston Whig Standard
