LANDON, Edith - At the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge on Monday, September 23, 2002. The former Edith Mary Burnie formerly of 24 Augustus Street; age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late George Leo Landon. Dear mother of Earl Landon (Susan) and JoAnn Landon-Amelotte both of Cornwall, Jack Landon (Shirley) of R. R. #3, Ingleside, Bryan Landon (Joyce) of Ottawa, Donald Landon (Mary Jane) of Kingston and Debbie (Mrs. Melvin Thompson) of Martintown. Dear daughter of the late Francis (Frank) Burnie and the late Elizabeth Ann Ryan. Dear sister of Elmer Burnie of Toronto, Mrs. Mildred Poupore of Pembroke, Mrs. Doris Law and Beatrice (Mrs. Leo Filion) both of Cornwall, Laura (Mrs. Charles Farrell) of Marysville, Bernadine Lebuis of Rockland and Mrs. Elizabeth Ethier of Waltham, Quebec. Predeceased by four brothers, Albert, Hillary, John and Ryan Burnie and by one sister, Evelyn Burnie. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (932-8482) from 2 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Wednesday, September 25, 2002 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Columban’s Church at 11 a.m. Interment, Parish Cemetery. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral on Wednesday. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Cornwall General Hospital, Dialysis Unit, would be appreciated by the family.
