Charles D. Morris Charles Douglas Morris, of the Veteran's Health Center, Moncton and formerly of Prince Street, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the Center. Born in Fords Mills, he was a son of the late Daniel and Alma (Bovard) Morris. A Veteran of the Second World War (RCAF), he retired from Public Works Canada as the Chief Area Stationary Engineer. He was a member for over 45 years of the Salisbury Branch, Royal Canadian Legion and was a member of the Moncton Amateur Radio Club (VE9CDM). Survived by his children, Roberta Green (Arthur), Uxbridge, ON, Donna Tower, Moncton, Evelyn Wilson, Glenna Marshall (John) of Salisbury, Ross (Brenda), Parkindale; daughter-in-law, Diana Morris, Boundary Creek; grandchildren, Donna, David, Steven, Lanny, Lyle, Marla, Charlene, Sonya, Jackie, Johnny, Bevin, Shannon; great grandchildren, Angel, Andrew, Connor, Sarah, Lincoln, Lindsey and Gabrielle; a sister, Viola Heskett (Carl), Moncton; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife the former, Marjorie (Beers) (Jan 2005); sons, Daniel and Vincent; sisters, Bella, Elevine, Florence, Edna; brothers, Gordon, Sheridan and Hazen. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. The Salisbury Branch, Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a memorial service on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 7 p.m. followed by the Funeral in the Chapel of the Salisbury Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Smith officiating, reception to follow. If so desired, memorials to the Alzheimer's or Diabetic societies would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca [Times & Transcript]
