MacNAMARA, DONALD JAMES - The death of Donald James MacNamara of Hampton, beloved husband of Dorothy (Damon) MacNamara occurred April 30, 2005 at his residence. He was born at Saint John, son of the late Frederick and Myrtle (Logan) MacNamara. Donald worked at Saint John Shipbuilding for twenty six years retiring in 1986. He enjoyed summering for thirty six years at Long Reach and in the spring and fall he hunted and fished at his camp in St. George. Donald enjoyed bowling. Carpentry was his hobby and he renovated many cottages on the Reach. Surviving besides his wife Dorothy are two daughters Nancy Hanson of Saint John, Diane "Suz" MacLeod of Saint John; two sisters Freda Purdy of Moss Glen, Bertha Stevenson (John) of Fredericton; five grandchildren Bradley, Andrew, Lesley, Jeffrey and Trevor; four great grandchildren Riley, Jenna, Connor and William; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visiting by request. A private funeral will be held at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel, Hampton. Interment in Hampton Rural Cemetery.
