Carmel O'Neill MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Carmel O'Neill, 82, of the Mount St Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi, formerly of University Ave, Miramichi, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2005 at her residence. Born in Escuminac, the daughter of the late Michael and Matilda (Martin) Jimmo. Carmel worked as a teacher for many years and attended St Michael's Basilica. She is survived by her loving daughters, Agnes O'Neill of Miramichi, Peggy Kirkpatrick (Tom) of Douglastown, Tilley Gordon of Miramichi, Jeannie Melanson (Marc) of Bathurst, Viola Jones (Rick) of Miramichi; sister, Beatrice Jimmo (Kingston); brother, Alvin Jimmo (Lil) of Ottawa; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas O'Neill; sisters, Linda, Amelia, Viola and Mildred; brothers, Wilfred and Hilary. Visitation with family and friends will be held from Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2005 at 11am from St Michael's Basilica, Miramichi with interment in St Michael's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St Michael's Building Fund or the Mount St Joseph Nursing Home would be appreciated.
