Gladys E.A. Simpson MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Gladys Eileen Alice Simpson, widow of the late Harry L. Simpson, of the Royal Oaks Nursing Home, in Kingsville, Ontario, and formerly of Water Street, Miramichi, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 3, 2005. Born in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Alice (Golding) Drillen. She was a homemaker and a teacher by profession. She was a member of St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi; a former member of the A.C.W.; a member of the Miramichi Area Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by one son, Dr. Thomas H. Simpson, of Minocqua, Wisconsin, USA; one sister, Mrs. Vera Peacock (Russ), of Ottawa, Ont.; three grandchildren, Julie, Kiera and Emily; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry, in 1969; one brother, Canon T. Hubert Drillen. By request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A public funeral service will be held from St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi, on Saturday, May 7, 2005, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Alan Reynolds. Interment will be in St. Pauls Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Pauls Cemetery Fund or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
