YERXA, ERNEST W. The passing of Ernest Wendall Yerxa of Scotch Settlement, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 2, 2005. He was 73. Born November 27, 1931 in Scotch Settlement, he was a son of the late Irvine and Alice (Platt) Yerxa. Ernest was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Survived by two daughters, Beverley Yerxa and husband Philip of Mactaquac and Charlene Shaw and husband Ashley of Scotch Settlement; one son Wendall and wife Velma of St. George, NB; seven grandchildren; a special friend, Mavis McArthur and a sister-inlaw Marlene Yerxa. Predeceased by his wife Alice (Munn); his parents; a grandson Mitchell and a brother Ronald. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment to follow in the Scotch Settlement Cemetery.
