Arthur "Skipper" Harold Janes October 11, 1922 - May 03, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) JANES, Arthur Harold "Skipper" - 82, Eastern Passage, passed away May 3, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Grand Falls, NL, he was a son of William and Louisa (Marual) Janes. He was a very active member of The Lions Club in Eastern Passage and leaves behind his eight children, 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson, as well as his brother and his special friend, Garnetta. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Frances (Smith); his oldest son, Chesley; daughter, Clara Ann in infancy; as well as several brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday in St. Peters Anglican Church, Eastern Passage.
