John Raymond Robertson December 27, 1920 - May 03, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) ROBERTSON, John Raymond - 84, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2005, in Abbie J. Lane Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Duncan and Mary (Slavin) Robertson. He served with the Engineer Corps in the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War and then worked as a welder in HMC Dockyard for over 35 years. He was a kind and giving man who was always there to help both family and friends alike. He was predeceased by his companion, Agnes; brother, George; sisters, Dolly and Nellie. Surviving with fond and loving memories are brother, Robert (Blondine); nieces, Theresa Keizer, Linda Chaddock; nephews, Ken Robertson, Gary Robertson and Bill Robertson, all of Halifax; many great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, where visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6, in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Father Lloyd O'Neil officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia or a charity of one's choice.
