Born on April 12, 1944, in Windsor, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy Havelock Johnson Sr. and Margaret (States) Johnson. She is survived by daughters, Tara Johnson, Toronto, Ontario; Tyra Johnson, Oakville, Ontario; grandchildren, William, Rian, Desiree and Hunter Johnson; sisters, Laxie Johnson, Newport Station; Leota Upshaw, Newport Station; Patricia Allison (Tim), Three Mile Plains; Clara Johnson (Peter Gittens), Ajax, Ontario; brothers, LeRoy (Gloria), Windsor; Dwight (Betty), Falmouth; Roddy (Shirley Croxen), Toronto, Ontario; Terry “TJ” (Lisa Rose), Windsor; Randy, London, Ontario; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Edward and George in infancy; also a infant sister, Beryl. Visitations 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 9, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held, 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005, in the Windsor Plains Baptist Church, Three Mile Plains, with Rev. Moses Adekola officiating. Interment in the Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
