HYMERS, KATHLEEN MURIEL The death of Kathleen Muriel (Leahy) Hymers occurred May 8, 2005 at home in Waterloo, Ontario. Born April 17, 1913 Kankakee, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late William Henry (Harry) Leahy and Grace (Noble) Johnson of Ohio and granddaughter of William Henry Leahy, US Civil War Veteran. Survived by her husband of 67 years, Lorne James, four children; Lawrence, Rosemary (Bernie) Sookman, Anita (John) Turner, and Mark (Heather) of New Maryland and their children; Sharlene, Mary, Colleen, and Heather Ruth, several great grandchildren. Kathleen was an accomplished pianist, avid reader and devotee of art, music and live theatre. Above all she loved her church and her family. A funeral service entrusted to RatzBechtel Funeral Home of Kitchener will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2005. [Daily Gleaner]
