HALSTEAD, ALAN CLARK - Suddenly by accident at Kerr's Ridge, NB, the death of Alan Clark Halstead, 67, of St. Stephen, NB, occurred on Sunday, May 8, 2005. Born in St. Stephen on August 3, 1937, he was the elder son of the late Bernard and Margaret Halstead of St. Stephen, NB. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Keay (McCann), daughters, Heather Cunningham (St. Stephen), Pamela (Parrsboro, NS) and Cathy (St. Andrews), grandchildren, Emily and Daniel Cunningham, brother, James (Bette) of Burlington, Ontario, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives at The Ledge United Church on Wednesday, May 11 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at Kirk McColl United Church on Thursday, May 12 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Kaye Clowater officiating. Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Boys & Girls Club (PO Box 354, St. Stephen, NB, E3L 2X2) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of The S.O.
