Marion Robley Froom November 10, 1939 - May 07, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) FROOM, Marion Robley - 65, Stillwater Lake, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 7, 2005, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, with her loving family at her side. Born November 10, 1939, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Doug and Beatrice (Morrison) Macdonald. Being very artistic, Marion graduated from Mount Allison University in 1960 with a degree in applied arts, having studied under Alex Covile and Ellis Rolston, for whom she also worked after graduation. She enjoyed knitting and tole painting, where she met many of her friends. Marion in survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Bruce; sons, David, Dartmouth; Douglas (Jacquelynn), Stillwater Lake; grandsons, Alex, Zachary, Ian; brother, Doug (Carol), Markham, Ont. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where Marion's family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, and where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Louis Ihasz officiating. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre. Family flowers only. If so desired, a donation in Marion's memory to the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
