William Cecil Eastman April 10, 1915 - May 07, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) EASTMAN, William Cecil - 90, Porters Lake, passed away May 7, 2005, in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII. Born in Newfoundland, he was a son of the late William and Edith (Soper) Eastman. Bill was a veteran of the Second World War. After the war he was employed with Imperial Oil Marine Division until retirement. He is survived by son, Dale Eastman (Judith), Halifax; daughters, Beverley Montgomery (Bill), Halifax; Wanda Soper (Fred), New Brunswick; Deborah Conrad (Gary), Lawrencetown; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Dinah; brothers, Jim, Joseph, Herbert and Walter; sisters, Daisy, Maude, Annie, Alice and Rose. Arrangements entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where a memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Gary Boyd officiating. A reception will follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment in Lawrencetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to a charity of choice.
