Mrs. Shirley Cecilia Parks (née Ziegler) September 24, 1927 - May 03, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Victoria) Parks, Shirley Cecilia (nee:Ziegler) passed away in her sleep on May 3,2005 in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Trudy. Survived by sons: Russ(Val), Bob(Maria), Jack(Anne), Ray, Scott(Lisa); daughter: Grace McDonald; grandchildren: Sarita, Russell(Jenny), Charles, Crystal(Matt), Darryl(Victoria), Ceilidh, Cameron, Courtenay, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren: Mayana and Zebbidy. Shirley's priority throughout her life was family and everything in her life flowed from these values. She incorporated her family into her every activity and she was active in her children's activities. She was a second mother to many and provided encouragement and practical wisdom to all around her. Shirley was a woman of action and if she believed in something; words were not enough. Even in her time of illness she still organized and oversaw active kindness. She never lost her sense of humour and always found the positive in life. She never let illness act as an excuse for keeping her priorities. She will be missed by many and her memory will live on in all who knew her. Memorial Service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street, Victoria, BC. on Saturday May 14, 2005 at 1:00 pm.
