Obeline Arsenault 1917 - 2005 Obeline (Cormier) Arsenault, 88, of Dominion Street, Moncton, N.B., passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on May 10, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, N.B., on May 8, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Philias Cormier and the late Alvina Bourgeois. Obeline was a member of Christ Roi Parish and a long time member of Dames d'Acadie and the Liberal Ladies Association. She was a homemaker and a very caring and compassionate person. Her greatest joy in life, along with her late husband Gordon, was her immediate family and sharing her "Joie de Vivre" with her great number of friends and relatives, especially sister, Thérese (Gerald Muise) of St. John, N.B., and brother, Philias (Florence) of Newcastle, Ontario. She will be sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren and nine children, Jo-Ann Giovanella of Boston, Paul (Louise) of Montréal, Florence MacFarlane (Pté-duChene), Gordon (Palma), Roberta, Gloria Goulding, Earl, Victor (Gisele), Claire, all of Moncton. She was predeceased by 11 siblings and the love of her life, husband Gordon, who passed away on November 8, 2004. At the request of the family there will be no visiting time at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at StAugustine Roman Catholic Church, corner of Dominion and Mountain Road on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 10 AM with a reception immediately following at the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Arsenault memory may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice.
