MACKAY, RETA EVELYN The death of Reta Evelyn MacKay, wife of Ralph MacKay, of Hanwell, NB occurred on May 11, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Bloomfield Ridge, NB on March 30, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ella (Greene) Case. Reta loved the outdoors, four-wheeling, bird watching and she also really enjoyed animals. Besides her husband, of 48 years, she is survived by two sons, Jamie MacKay (Dianne) of Hanwell, NB and Gardner MacKay (Jalaine) of Williamsburg, NB; three daughters, Joe Anne Hunter (Don) of Fredericton, NB, Janet Dorcas (Ron) of Nashwaak Village, NB and Beverley MacKay (Roland) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Hedley Case (Elizabeth) of Boiestown, NB, Ernest Case of Bloomfield Ridge, NB and Kenneth Case (Marie) of Ontario; two sisters, Roberta Palmer (Gerald) of Saint John, NB and Joline Munn (Otto) of Boiestown, NB; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by five brothers, Everett, Stanley, Robert, Kendell and Sterling; and two sisters, Edythe Ross and Betsy Case. Although there will be no visitation by request; a Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 14th, 2005 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Isabel Black officiating. Interment will take place at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Nashwaak Bridge, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
