Mrs. Ethel L. Cable 1918 - 2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Ethel Laura Cable, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Upper Napan, passed away at her residence, on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at the age of 87. Born in Glenwood, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Katherine (MacDonald) Harris. She was a homemaker; a former employee of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home. She was Jehovah's Witness by faith and attended the Kingdom Hall in Miramichi. She is survived by six daughters, Mary (Bunny) Williams (Jerry), of Waterford, Ont., Lois McLean (Gerry), of Miramichi, Edna Pilbrow (Rod), of Kingston, Ont., Diana Oursin (Roy), of Sydney, Cape Breton, Dale Weston (James), of Nashua, New Hampshire, USA, Neva Carroll, (Jerry), of Miramichi; four sons, Reginald Cable (Virginia), of Miramichi, Thomas Hanna (Marilyn), Bruce Hanna (Brenda), James Hanna, all of Upper Napan; two sisters, Doris Lheaniere and Ruby Taylor (Stan), all of Miramichi; three brothers, John Harris (Bertha), Fred Harris, of Vancouver, B.C., Burpee Harris (Theresa), of Napan; 34 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Samuel J. Cable and her long time companion, Freeman Hanna; one granddaughter, Nancy Karel McLean; one sister, Hazel Buckett; four brothers, Willard, Hiram, Doug and Thomas Harris. Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Saturday, only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from the Kingdom Hall in Miramichi on Sunday, May 15, 2005, at 4 pm, conducted by Robert Lisk and Wayne Taylor. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
