SCOTT, EVERETT R. - The death of Everett Russell Scott of Manor St. Jude, Saint John, husband of 59 years to Norma Jean (Whittaker) Scott, occurred on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Titusville, NB, he was the son of the late Russell and Sarah (Smith) Scott. Mr. Scott was a Fork Lift Operator at Lantic Sugar for his whole working career. He was a member of Rockwood Encampment #31, the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows and Main Street Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Russell (Sandra) of Edmonton, AB and Calvin (Patricia) of Saint John, one daughter, Norine Long (John) of Saint John, two brothers, Edward Smith (Frances) of Ontario and Ivan Smith (Joyce) of Newtown, NB, two sisters, Dorothy Tippett and Annie Reicker, both of Saint John, seven grandchildren, Geoffrey Scott, Amanda Scott, Caroline Moore (Kevin), Sherri Egers (David), Amy Long, Andrew Scott and Adam Long, two great grandchildren, Abbigayle and Emmily Egers, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, David Arthur Scott and one brother, Cecil. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday only 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Main Street Baptist Church, Monday, May 16, 2005 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Titus Hill Cemetery, Titusville, NB.
