Kenneth Joseph Bernier l'Acadie Nouvelle - 10 mai 2005 Tétagouche Nord - À l’Hôpital régional Chaleur de Bathurst, le vendredi 6 mai 2005, à l’âge de 44 ans, est décédé après une courte maladie Kenneth Joseph Bernier, domicilié à Tétagouche Nord. Né à Bathurst, il était fils de Philippe et Alice (Roy) Bernier, de Bathurst. Outre ses parents, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Gail Stever; deux filles: Tiffany et Vanessa, toutes deux à la résidence familiale; deux frères: Louis de Cornwall, Ont. et Eric (Wanda) de Bathurst; quatre soeurs: Colette Clowater (Wayne), Annette Leet (Blair) et Suzanne Cormier (Shawn), toutes de Tétagouche Nord et Louise Bernier de Fredericton; sa grand-mère maternelle, Catherine Roy de Bathurst; ses beaux-parents: Wesley et Geneva Stever de Bathurst, ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis. Sa filleule, Andrea Louise Clowater (mars 2005), l’a précédé dans la tombe. M. Bernier était un diplômé du Bathurst High School et du CCNB de Bathurst. Il a travaillé à l’Hôpital régional Chaleur de Bathurst comme ingénieur. Il était membre et ancien directeur du Service de recherche et de sauvetage de la région Chaleur et il aimait faire du Geocaching à travers les Maritimes. Il était connu sous le nom de «Casper KB». Ses passe-temps favoris étaient le camping, jouer aux cartes, aller à la plage et découvrir des nouveautés sur son ordinateur. Il n’y aura pas de visites à la Maison funéraire. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Sainte-Famille, avenue Saint-Pierre à Bathurst, le mercredi 11 mai, à 11h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière St. Mary’s de Bathurst. Une réception aura lieu après les funérailles. Pour ceux qui le désirent, la famille apprécierait des dons à la Fondation canadienne des maladies du coeur ou à une oeuvre de bienfaisance de votre choix. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Philippe and Alice (Roy) Bernier. Besides his parents of Bathurst, he is survived by his wife, the former Gail Stever; two daughters: Tiffany and Vanessa, both at home; two brothers: Louis Bernier of Cornwall, ON, Eric Bernier (Wanda) of Bathurst; four sisters: Colette Clowater (Wayne), Annette Leet (Blair) and Suzanne Cormier (Shawn) all of North Tetagouche, Louise Bernier of Fredericton; Maternal grand-mother, Catherine Roy of Bathurst; In-laws: Wesley & Geneva Stever of Bathurst. He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved Fluffy. He was pre-deceased by his God-daughter, Andrea Louise Clowater in March of this year. He was a graduate of Bathurst High School and New Brunswick Community College in Bathurst. Kenneth worked at the Chaleur Regional Hospital as a Power Engineer. He attended Holy Family Church, member and former executive of the Chaleur Ground Search and Rescue and loved Geocaching all over the Maritimes. He was known as "Casper KB". His favorite pastimes were camping, playing cards, spending time at the beach and discovering new things on his computer. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (May 11, 2005) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, with a reception to follow. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Bathurst. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
