ERVIN, EDWIN "ED" DAVID - Mr. Edwin "Ed" David Ervin passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on May 9th, 2005 at the age of 82 years. Ed was born February 18, 1923 in Saint John, New Brunswick. He was a hard worker and started working from an early age right up until the day before he passed away. Throughout his life Ed was closely connected with the Church. His beliefs were strong which helped him through many difficult times. His many friends and acquaintances in Saint John were very special to him. In 1996, at the age of 73, Ed and Helen relocated to Red Deer to be closer to their only child Diane. It was a special time for all of the family to be together again. Two weeks after moving to Red Deer Ed started working with the Corps. Of Commissioners. Within this group he met many, many people whom he touched in one way or another. Everyone who knew him will miss him. His wife Helen of 52 years predeceased Ed in March 2001. DAD I was so proud to be your Daughter and call you "Dad". I will miss you so much but I know you and Mom are together again. God Bless Love - Diane A Funeral Service for the late Edwin "Ed" Ervin was held at the Red Deer Legion, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, AB on Monday, May 16th, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Don Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones' choice. Sympathies can be forwarded to Diane at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
