Lovingly missed by his dear wife Mariana Da Ponte (Soares Rego), his daughter Ana Sutherland, son Mario (Peggy) Da Ponte of Chicago Ill. Loved by his grandchildren Blair, Gavin, David, Katie and Michael. Dear brother of Alleluia of the Azores Islands. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of Gordon F Tompkins, 435 Davis Drive (Waterloo Village) on Thursday , May 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Chapel of Mary, Mother of Compassion, 1200 Princess Street, on Friday, May 20th at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers in Resurrection Cemetery at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
