Ronald W. Evans June 15, 1920 - May 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Fair Haven Funeral Home Ron passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, May 17th, 2005. He was born in Moncton, June 15th, 1920 son of the late John and Beulah (Leaman) Evans. Ron is survived by his wife Dorothy whom he met in England and married in September of 1945. They have three children; Lynne of Shediac, she has one daughter; Elizabeth (Terry) and their two sons; Dale and Andrew, Robert (Kim) of Riverview and their six children; Jillian, Brook, Melissa, Jared, Chad and Dane, Ronald (Wanda) of BC. and their sons; Shawn and Todd. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Marjorie and brothers, John and Stewart. A veteran of the Second World, Ron served with the Royal Canadian Army for 5 years and was a volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed fishing & bowling in his younger years and played a mean game of pool in his later years. He worked with the C.N.R. for 36 years, and once retired, he enjoyed building his cottage and having a large vegetable garden. His home meant everything to him, as did his family, and he will be sadly missed by all. With respect to Ron’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private family service will be held. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB would be appreciated. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
