Geraldine "Geri" Ellis (née O'Brien) November 24, 1917 - May 19, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) ELLIS, Geraldine "Geri" - 87, Halifax, passed away May 19, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late William and Maude O'Brien. Geraldine was employed for many years by Simpson Sears Ltd. Many hours of her time were generously given to Missions to Seamen, Hope Cottage and IWK to name a few organizations. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Philip's Anglican Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great great-nieces and great great-nephews, as well as sisters-in-law, Vivian O'Brien, Joyce Ellis and Jessie Renda. She was predeceased by brothers, Edwin, William, James, Hugh, Gerald; sisters, Grace, Catherine and Mary. Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Brian J. Spence officiating.
