MUNDY, ETHEL - At her residence in Welland, on Thursday, February 24, 2005, in her 94th year. Cherished wife of the late Harry Mundy (1990). Sadly missed by sons James Mundy and William Mundy (Arlene), daughter Nancy Fox (Doug) and daughter-in-law Catherine Mundy, all of Welland, son-in-law Bill Flynn of Nova Scotia as well as by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by parents James & Laura Rutherford, son Ronald Mundy, daughters, Faye Mundy & Lois Becker, brother Edward Rutherford, daughter-in-law Norma Mundy, sisters Laura Vancott, Edith Hibbons, Elsie Bradley, Adelaide Swayne and Eleanor Sharp. Born in Smith Falls, Ontario, Mrs. Mundy moved to Welland in 1941. She was employed as a Ward Clerk with the Welland County General Hospital for some 15 years, retiring in 1975. Mrs. Mundy was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Friends are invited to visit the family at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Sunday evening, February 27th from 7-9 p.m. Reverend Dan Bennett of Holy Trinity Anglican Church will conduct the funeral service in the Cudney Chapel on Monday, February 28th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
