D'APRILE, Donata - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Hotel Dieu Hospital on Friday February 18, 2005 at the age of 76. Loving wife of 54 years to Paolo D'Aprile. Dearly loved mother of Rita Palermo and her husband Euplio of Niagara Falls. Cherished grandmother of Pietro Palermo and Patrizia Paola Palermo of Niagara Falls. Dear sister of Massimo DiPietro, Anna Giandomenico and Mario DiPietro, all of Italy. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews in Italy. She will be sadly missed by her "Grandma" Elisa Ruscitti. Mrs. D'Aprile came to Canada from her native Italy in 1966 and worked for many years at Sherwood Farms until she retired. She was also a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church. Friends are invited to call at the Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main St. visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum. The Vigil for Mrs. D'Aprile will be celebrated Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In memory of Mrs. D'Aprile donations to Hotel Dieu Hospital would be appreciated by her family.
