GALANTE, Antonio "Tony" - Passed away at Hotel Dieu Hospital on Friday March 4, 2005 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 46 years to Cosma (Albano) Galante. Dearly loved father of Donato "Danny" (Grace) Galante of London, Bruno (Ivana) Galante of Niagara Falls, Rosemarie (Vicente) Galante-Picallo of Spain and Rita Galante of Niagara Falls. Loving Nonno of Anthony, Patrick, Allisa, Fabio, Andres and Alejandro. Dear brother of Giulio (Sabia) , Giuseppe (Maria) and Nicola (Rosa). Dear brother-in-law of Domenic (Charlotte) Albano. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Rosa and Donato Galante, and his in-laws, Vincenzina and Bruno Albano and Giuseppe and Grace Iannuzzi. Antonio (Tony) was born August 7, 1928 in Casalbordino, Miracoli. (Province of Chieti). He served for the Italian Army as Barselieri. He arrived in Canada in 1954. Antonio worked for Atlas Steel in Welland in the transportation department for 32 years. Antonio loved his garden and the simple life of just sitting quietly under a tree. He was a member of Club Italia. Antonio's pride and joy was being with his loving family. We will miss you forever. Friends are invited to call at the Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main St. visiting Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The Vigil for Mr. Galante will be celebrated Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In memory of Mr. Galante, donations in lieu of flowers to Hotel Dieu Hospital or St. Thomas More Church would be appreciated by his family.
