WEBB, Roy Edgar - Passed away quietly in his 85th year on the morning of May 17, 2005 while at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, May Rennie Webb, his daughter Helen Ann (Derrick Herriott), his son Bryan (Nancy Sherwin), and his daughter Donna (Garry Holland). He is also survived by his sister Velma (the late Clifford) and his brothers Charles (Jean), Douglas (Nancy), and Carl (Joyce). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Michelle (Terry), Brett, Jennifer (Mike), Suzanne, Sara, and Barbara. He was predeceased by his parents Edgar Charles and Helen Cecilia. Mr. Webb honourably served his country in World War II in the European theatre and belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 51. He retired from Canada Customs after more than 36 years of service. His roses will miss his TLC. He was an avid stamp collector from childhood. His woodworking projects will be cherished and his love of ice cream and cards fondly remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Niagara Falls Community Kitchen on St. Lawrence Ave. and may be made through the offices of Hetherington & Deans, 5176 Victoria Ave. A private cremation will be held followed by a memorial gathering on Friday, May 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 51 on Valleyway.
