Trafle "Pete" Garant November 19, 1926 - May 18, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) 78 years, peacefully with his family by his side on May 18, 2005. Predeceased by wife Clarice (nee Meloche) (1969), and Rita Mary (nee Meaney) (2001). Dear father of Betty Ann and husband John Bezaire, Roger Garant and wife Mary, Mary Ann and husband Dale Iler, Richard Garant, Caroline and husband Thom Lebert, Susan Long. Dear grandfather of 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Survived by sister Evelyn Ellwood and husband Bill and brother Israel Garant. Predeceased by his parents Telesphore and Marie Garant and 12 brothers and sisters. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his dear friend Dorothy Johnson. Pete was a G.M. Transmission Retiree after 36 years of service, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 578, Moose Lodge #1499, I.O.O.B. # 4296. Visitation will be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh, (735-2830) on Friday, May 20, 2005 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Pete Garant in the Marcotte Heritage Forest.
