Lois Margaret Fraser June 19, 1919 - May 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Mrs. Lois Fraser passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 20, 2005. Born in Sydney Mines, NS on June 19, 1919. Lois graduated from Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB in 1943 and moved to Montreal where she worked as a Registered Dietician at the Royal Victorian Hospital. She met Bob in Montreal where he was studying architecture. They were married on December 28, 1948 and moved to Fort William. They enjoyed over 56 years together. Lois is lovingly remembered by her husband Bob; children Rob (Shelley Wood), Jim, Jill (David Young) and Susan (Glen Wilson); grandchildren Jennifer, Ellen, Adrienne and Alexander and grandpet Kirsi. Also loved and remembered by brothers Grant, Glace Bay, NS and Eric (Marilyn), Sydney Mines, NS; sister Gerry (Bill Mulligan), St. John’s, NB; sister-in-law Yvonne Whyte as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Maryjane and George Whyte; in-laws Frank and Evelyn Fraser; brother John Whyte; sister-in-law Betty Whyte and brother-in-law Grant Fraser. Lois lived life to its fullest, and enjoyed best of all, time spent at the cottage on Sunnyside Beach. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and active in St. Aidans Guild. Most important for Lois was caring for others. Gardening, cooking and quilting were among her hobbies. Cremation has taken place. Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Fraser will be held on Friday, May 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. If friends so desire, memorial donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
