William George Henry Poplar HALIFAX, NS - William George Henry Poplar, 88, formerly of River Hebert, passed away in Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Hospital, May 21, 2005. Born in Portsmouth, England, Bill was the son of the late Isabel (Karley) and William Charles Poplar. With his wife and family he emigrated to River Hebert, NS in 1953, moving to Halifax in 1997. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Hill); daughters, Janet Stuart (Ronald), Halifax, Mary Bell (George), Wellington; and son, Peter (Mary), Moncton; sisters, Isabel Scopie and Mary Taylor. He leaves behind six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, John. Special thanks to the staff of V3 West for their loving care and patience over eight long years. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to Dalhousie Medical Research or a charity of choice. A memorial service will be held at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home in Halifax, 2:00PM, June 9, 2005. [Times & Transcript]
