TUFTS, KATHLEEN ELIZABETH (BRYSON) - Presque Isle -Kathleen Elizabeth (Bryson) Tufts, passed into the house of the Lord, May 22, peacefully with loving family at her side. She was born March 31, 1926 in Bairdsville, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Iva Mary (Armstrong) Bryson. She was a resident of Presque Isle, ME for over 30 years. Kathleen (Kay) was known for her kindness and caring ways. Kathleen is survived by her six children, Linda A. Bear, Meridian, CT, Peter J. Hersom and his wife Diane of Garland, TX, Patrick M. (Mike) Hersom and his wife Shelby of Espanola, NM, Martin I. Hersom and Julie Brooks of Bowdoin, ME, Martha J. Aldrich and her husband Fletcher of Clovis, NM, Kathryn H. Higgins and her husband Daniel of Mapleton, ME as well as her brothers Jack, Ronald, Lewis and Leon and her sisters Roberta, Patricia and Serena, all of Canada. Nineteen grandchildren and thrity-one great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Dana, her brothers Joseph, Patrick, Bernie, Stephen and James. Sisters Margaret, Yvonne, Alice and Isabelle, several nieces and nephews and a dearly beloved granddaughter Tammy Rae Hersom. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Aroostook. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 2:00PM EST Friday at the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery in Perth Andover, NB, Canada.
