EGAN, Dr. Sean B.A., D.E.S., Ph.D. Sports Psychology Educator, Adventurer, Athlete, Father & Friend, Assoc. Professor of Human Kinetics, University of Ottawa While chasing his dream to reach the summit of Mount Everest, Sean succumbed to the frailties of life and died after suffering cardiac arrest on Friday, April 29, 2005. A team, hoping to summit Everest in May are taking a small passport photo of Sean to the top and will bury his picture there. Dr. Sean Egan of Almonte, age 63 years Sean leaves behind his adoring children Seamas and Anna and their mother; Mary. He will be lovingly remembered by his special friend Jane, friends and family in Ireland and Almonte. Friends may call at the C.R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 127 Church Street, Almonte, Ontario for visiting on Wednesday, May 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday to Holy Name of Mary Church, Almonte for Celebration of the Eucharist at 11 a.m. A gathering to remember and share stories of Sean will follow at Almonte Civitan Hall.
