SCHLEIFER-TOLENSKY, Betty (nee Hirshorn). Peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Morton Schleifer and the late Moe Tolensky. Devoted mother and mother-in-law and step-mother of Irwin and Barbara Tolensky, Steven and Arlene Tolensky, and Barbara Schleifer. Cherished grandmother of Michelle and Adam Cooper, Liane Tolensky, Stacy and Stanley Marcovici, Robyn and Efrem Harte, Peter and Jamie Tolensky, Lewis Tolensky and fiancee Melanie Hurst, Talia and Elaina Kaufman. Proud great grandmother of nine. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Eli and the late Harriet Hirshorn, the late Esther and the late Ben Shulman. Special niece of Sheila Berlind of California. Dear aunt to her nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at The Waldorf Residence, and especially to her devoted caregiver Betty Caparanga for her loving kindness and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Monday, May 2 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Gan Shalom Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O.
