LACKIE, Douglas Nelson Passed away at the Lanark Lodge in Perth after a lengthy struggle on Saturday, April 30, 2005 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruby Dorey. Loved son of the late Nelson and Florence Lackie. Loving father of Robert (Hamilton), Jean-Ann (Norbert) of St. Catharines and Raymond (Cathy) of Ottawa. Devoted grandfather of Brittany, Brock and Jennifer. He leaves behind his sisters and brothers Dorothy (Allan James) of Norwood, Rita (Ray) of Carleton Place, Merle of Hamilton, William (Cathy) of Bracebridge, Tracey (Barb) of Carleton Place, Willard (Heather) of Carleton Place and Teresa (William Taylor) also of Carleton Place and predeceased by his brothers Ronald, Desmond, and sister Joanne. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home in Smiths Falls on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Maple Vale Cemetery. In memory of Doug, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer's Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
