OBITUARY LYDIA MARY JONES (nee Dagnall) 1923 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Lydia Jones on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, AB, after a very brave fight with cancer. Mom was devoted to her family, always giving us encouragement, love and the best sense of humour. She resided at Whitehorn Village Retirement Residence for the past two years and made many friends, especially Lucille and Georgette. She loved the Karaoke days as she loved to sing. She sang her last song with Dr. Jose Pereira (Fairy Tales can come true!). She loved her doctors, Dr. Lyle Galloway (she went to heaven with her diploma!) and Dr. "Mike"; her nurses and nurses aides, especially Terry and Mary. "We will never forget you. There are angels on earth. Thanks to all on Unit 47." Lydia is survived by her children, Barbara (Bill MacKenzie), Trevor (Sheila Stack), Margaret (Ed Affolder), John (Debbie Cleary) of St. Hubert, QB, Arlene (Denis Ferland), and Ron (Mona Cloutier). Lydia was a special Nanny to Cindy, Andrea (Shawn Morash), Dean, Paula, Ryan, Krissy, Mike, Tiffany, Trevor, Matt, Steven, and Craig; and Great-Nanny to Jared and Evan. She was Nanny Jones to a "special" fourth daughter Susan Gaskell's children, a dear sister-in-law to Glyn Jones and an aunt to Danny and Gary Dagnall and family. Lydia was predeceased by her husband Trevor in 1981 and son Raymond in 1972. A Family Service will be held. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
