Tessie WONG

WONG, Tessie Peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, May 8, 2005 at the age of 84. Beloved mother of Victoria Sau Wai Cheung (a.k.a. Sau Wei Cheung) and her husband Ming T. Wong of Houston, Texas. Cherished grandmother of Lester (Pam). Survived by her sister Katharine (Liang Lin Hsiao) as well as many relatives and friends across North America and China. Predeceased by her husband Un Lin Chang. Tessie was born in China and worked at the Canadian Embassy in China from 1945 to 1951. She came to Canada in 1978 and worked in the library of the Department of External Affairs in the 80's and 90's. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 MacLeod Street, on Wednesday, May 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, May 12 from 10 a.m. until service time in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre.
