DAVISS, Lillian, age 85. Passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Grace Manor April 14, 2005. Born at home in Pine River, Manitoba, January 3, 1920, the sixth of ten children to Ukrainian homesteaders, Thomas and Katherine Paraska. She married a young airman who became a Major in the Canadian army and took her and her daughters to postings across Canada and Germany, settling in Ottawa in 1965. Devoted wife to Lawrence Daviss who died in 1968. Cherished mother of Linda, Betty-Anne and Patricia, loving and fun grandmother of Bart and Tim. Will be missed by siblings Anne, Mary, Pauline, Irene, Tom and Ruth, several sisters- and brothers-in-law (including Alberta and Roy Stabler here in Ottawa), nieces and nephews from both the Paraska and Daviss families and dear friends. Interred with her husband Lawrence, Beechwood Cemetery. Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Salvation Army, Billy Graham or 100 Huntley St or the charity of your choice.
