WITT, Karl Heinrich, Peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2005, in his 89th year, with family at his side. Loving wife of 55 years, Dietlinde and father of four devoted children; Ulrike - Ricci Matthews (Jim), Christine Hameister (Todd), Helga Witt-Sullivan (Hugh), Andreas Witt. Proud "OPA" of Mark (Connie), Jeweleigh (Noel), Kristy (Dave), Jordan, Harley, Amanda (Bob), Scott, Craig, Kenny, Erin, Danny and Michael. Great-grandfather of Drake, Zach, Bailey, Bobby and Charlotte. Karl Heinrich was born on August 2, 1916 in West Prussia, Germany. He came to Canada in 1953 and settled in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area where he made his home. He became a proud Canadian citizen, raised his family and supported them by working at General Motors (St. Cathari nes Division) for 21 years. Karl Heinrich's fearless optimism and strong work ethic helped him overcome many obstacles. His love of life and never ending curiosity kept him young at heart and surrounded by countless loyal friends and relatives. Speci al thanks to Drs. Proudfoot and Berti for their compassionate care. We also wish to thank the hospital staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital and the Community Care Access Nurses. The family of Karl Heinrich Witt w ill receive visitors at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake (phone 905-356-3550) on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2027 Niagara Stone Rd., Niagara-on-the-Lake o n Thursday at 2 p.m. - 5/4/2005 - ID6133857
