DENSMORE, Lewis Hayes, Peacefully, at Niagara Arms Retirement Residence, St. Catharines on Monday, May 9th, 2005 in his 87th year. Beloved husband for 64 years of Evelyn (Michaud) Densmore of St. Catharines. Loving father of Susan (David) Lawson of Burlington. Loved grandpa of Sarah, Michael and Geoffrey Lawson. Dear brother of Clifford Densmore of Kingston and brother-in-law of Josephine Densmore of St. Catharines. Predeceased by a sister Muriel (Thomas) Keating (1996) and a brother Maurice De nsmore (1996). Special uncle of Donald Thomas and also survived by several other nieces and nephews. Lewis was born in Brantford, Ontario in 1918. He was a Veteran of WWII serving with the R.C.A.F. in the European Theatre of Operations as a Flight Li eutenant radar officer. He was employed by Dana Canada Inc. (Hayes-Dana Inc.) for 44 years, retiring in 1981. He was a Registered member of the Society of Management Accountants (CMA), a former member of Kiwanis Club Central of St. Catharines, a form er member of SPEBSQSA and St. Catharines Photographic Club and an Ardent photographer and traveler. Cremation has taken place with a Memorial Celebration of his life to be held at the KARL A. HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thoro ld on Thursday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
