BOGUSAT, Edna (nee Goettling), God has seen fit to call home our dear mother, Edna Bogusat, May 19, 2005 in her 92nd year at Heritage Place, Virgil. She is survived by her children Ruth (Victor) Opresnik, Walter (Alice) Bogusat, Howard (Lorraine) Bo gusat and Gloria (Kurt) Meyer, grandchildren Christine (Kevin) Fergin, David (Sandi) Opresnik, Brian Bogusat, Joanne (Craig) Laurie, Adam Meyer and Jason Meyer, and three great-grandchildren Rachel, Jordan and Maxwell. Predeceased in 1985 by her husb and Max and also by one sister and three brothers. She is survived by one brother-in-law Alvin Duench. Edna was born in New Dundee, ON on July 28, 1913. She married Max Bogusat November 28, 1936. Together they moved to a farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake i n 1938 and then to Virgil in 1950 when her husband Max founded M.B. Foods. Edna was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake where she played the organ for over 28 years. She made many quilts for Lutheran World Relief and of course for all her children and grandchildren. Edna was a long term member of the Horticulture Society, winning many flower arranging awards. The family will receive friends at the NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 415 Regent S treet, Sunday from2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In memory of Edna, donations directed to Canad ian Lutheran World Relief, the Haiti Lutheran Society or Heritage Place (Pleasant Manor) would be appreciated by the family.
