Leslie Stewart Phinney WILDWOOD, FLORIDA - Leslie (Les) Phinney of Wildwood, Florida passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, May 13, 2005. Born in Sackille on June 9,1927, son of the late Alvah and Mrs. Carrie May (Stokes) Wheaton Phinney. After completing his education at Upper Sackville, he moved to Detroit then on to Wildwood in 1962. He was a Radio Dispatcher; Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard; a member of the Adamsville Baptist Church, Shady Brook Freewill Baptist Church; a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Leesbury since 1975, a life member of the Florida Sheriff's Boys Ranch. He loved flowers and gardening. He is survived by his beloved wife Bernice of 29 years; two sons, Douglas Friesorger of Bay City, MI, and Lean Friesorger of Peniconning MI, USA; three daughters, Edith Hurst and Shirley Williams, both of Wildwood, Florida and Jacqueline Mimbs of New Bern, N.C.; two sisters, Laura Field, Moncton, and Lillian Pratt, Gardner; grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces; nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by five sisters, Hattie, Margaret Annie, Hazel and Alma; three brothers, Edgar and Russel and Elsworth The funeral service was held May 17, 2005 in Wildwood, Florida, Interment in Adamsville Cemetery, Adamsville, Florida.
