Mr. Harold Arthur McFadden April 28, 1942 - May 29, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Harold Arthur McFadden age 63, of Amherst passed away Sunday, May 29, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Cannan, Cumberland County he was a son of the late Harold John McFadden and Dorothy (Smith) Brown. Harold lived in Oshawa, Ont. for many years where he worked as a plumber and mechanic. He moved back to Amherst in 1989. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, stock car racing and going for drives on the back roads of Cumberland County. He is survived by sons Junior McFadden and Walter McFadden both of Amherst and Warren and Norman McFadden and Jacob Rent all of Ontario, daughters Anita McFadden and Sarah McFadden both of Amherst and Kimmie McFadden of Ontario, brothers Jim Brown and Norman McFadden both of Ontario and sisters Lois Poitras and Fran Foster both of Ontario, his adoptive parents Allan and Florence Chapman of Amherst Shore and several grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his sister Beatrice. His remains will be cremated. His family will receive visitors at Campbell’s Funeral Home (667-9906) 98 Church St., Amherst on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2005 at 2 p.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the Amherst Cemetery. Donations in Harold’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. www.campbellsfh.com
