Paul Eugene Laforet June 30, 1945 - May 28, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) Laforet, Paul Eugene, Teacher-Principal, of Tecumseh, Ont. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Paul, at the age of 59, on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Met Hospital. Beloved husband of 31 years to Nancy (nee Flowers). Cherished father of Steve and wife Jacqui Laforet, of Australia; Danielle Laforet and fiancee Craig Mooney. Son of the late Eugene (1971) and Adelaide (nee LaChapelle) (1993). Son-in-law of Anne Flowers of St. Clair Shores, Mich. Loving brother of Elaine (Andre)Leblanc, of Tecumseh; Yvette(Chris) Fliessier; Janine (Brian) Greene, all of London; Daniel (Debbie) Laforet; and Roger (Maureen) Laforet, all of Tecumseh. Beloved brother-in-law if Rick Flowers (California) and Russ Flowers of Michigan. Paul will be sadly missed by his two godchildren Pierre Leblanc and Denis Laforet and many nieces and nephews. Beyond his love and dedication to his family, Paul was a dedicated teacher, principal, and mentor to many. He treasured the children and admired their youth and innocence. Paul had many interests. The Tecumseh Baseball Club was honoured to have Paul's devotion for over 40 years. He was proud of being an original member of the "Tecumseh Friday Night Hockey Club" since 1969, and also played for many years in the "Silver Fox League". His love of life and calming disposition was attributed to many people and many things, one being Catchacoma. Visiting Tuesday, from 3:30 to 5:00, and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers Wed. at 7:30 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830). Visiting resumes after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at St. Anne Church (Tecumseh). A "Liturgy of Farewell" will take place at 10:15 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Robert Couture will be the celebrant. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. As your expression of symapthy, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Paul Laforet in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
