Antoniette "Toni" Marion Allan June 29, 1939 - May 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) Toni Allan, 65, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2005 surrounded by her loved ones. Toni was born in Regina, Sask., on June 29, 1939 to her late loving parents, Nicolas and Iris Evonic. Toni was pre-deceased by a brother, Ivan Evonic. Toni was widowed by David Edward Allan after 39 years of love and marriage. Toni is survived by her two loving children, Christine and David, son-in-law Glynn Nordin and her two adoring grandchildren, Jake and Sydney Nordin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and by mother-in-law, Peggy Allan, in-laws Gail Evonic and Diane and Peter Young. Toni worked with MT&T as a manager and retired after a 33 year career span. Toni loved being around people and spending time with her family and friends. Toni loved to party, shop and travel as much as possible. Toni was loving and wonderful mother who would do anything for her children. We will greatly miss her. She was so proud of her grandchildren and they were so proud of her. She was blessed with loving lifelong friends, who she cherished. Toni will be sadly missed by all of us, but we take comfort in the fact that she is now with her husband, Dave as well as her brother and parents. Take good care of her, Dad, we miss you both. Also a very special thanks to Dr. Peter Petropolis, Dr. Soucy and the nurses of 9 Abby Lane Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Toni’s life will be celebrated with a visitation on June 2, from Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road., where the memorial service will be held Friday June 3 at 11 a.m., with Rev. James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home lounge. Donations may be made in Toni’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
