Ian Watt September 12, 1924 - May 30, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully, on May 30, 2005 Ian passed away at Tuxedo Villa at the age of 80. Ian was predeceased by his siblings; Jean (William) Sahlmark, Stockholm Sask., Jessie (Fred) Berry, Wpg, MB, William Watt, Calgary, Alta., James (Natalie)Watt, Carman, MB, Isabel Norton, Edmonton, Alta., Aleck Watt, Atwater, Sask. (WWII), Mae (Joe) Tocher, Esterhazy, Sask. Ian will be remembered by his nieces and nephews; Wayne (Linda) Watt, Sharon (John) Warms, Jack (Debbie) Watt, Carol (Erwin) Flamen, Robert (Marylee) Tocher, Gary Norton, Sandra Norton, Lois (Mario) Codreau, and Dorothy (Dale) Murray. Ian will also be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Jim Norton and sister-in-law Ruth Watt, as well as his extended family and friends. Ian was born and raised near Atwater, Sask., and attended high school in Esterhazy, Sask. Ian moved to Winnipeg as a young man where he started his career with the MLCC until his retirement in 1989. He lived on Ashburn Street for many years until moving to Tuxedo Villa in 2004. The family would like to thank the many Home Care workers, especially Connie and Warren, who made it possible for him stay at home for as long as possible. Thanks also to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their care of Ian. A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 2 at 3:00 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with an interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, Unit 10-120 Donald Street, Wpg, MB, R3C 4G2.
