Carroll Vincent Pothier August 05, 1921 - May 30, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) POTHIER, Carroll Vincent - Passed away on May 30, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII. He was born in Pinkney's Point, Yarmouth Co., on August 5, 1921, to Luke and Lisette (DeViller) Pothier. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Catherine Boudreau; daughter, Bernadette (Burke Cushing); grandchildren, Anthony, Timothy, Natalie, Stephen, and William; brother, Malcolm, Greenfield Park, Que. His brother, Bourneuff, who was killed in action during the Second World War, predeceased him. Carroll served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment during the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. Upon his return he served with the Royal Canadian Engineers Reserve Force. By trade he was a bricklayer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was also a member of St. Stephen's Parish. He was a former member of Scotia Legion Branch 25. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 2, and Friday, June 3, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Celebration of his life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, in St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church (corner of Normandy Drive and Robie Street), Father Gilbert Bertrand, OMI officiating. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Lounge, 771 Main St., Dartmouth.
