Peter Noll Funeral arrangements by Regina Funeral Home NOLL – Peter Laurence passed away peacefully on May 30, 2005. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, in 1999 and now joins her in the Lord’s Kingdom. He is survived by daughters Donna Brown (Brian), Maureen Butler (Gary) and son Grant Noll (Marlene), and his very special friends and caregivers, Flordeliza Lauagan and Mercedes Ngilangil. Peter devoted his life to family, business and sports and was known as a formidable competitor in everything he would participate. Peter especially loved spending time with his grandchildren: Erika Brown, Vanessa and Nicholas Noll, and Ryan and Dana Butler, and sharing his passion for the outdoors and sports with them. He entered into business in 1962 with partner Gerry Thompson when they founded Minneapolis Equipment Ltd. and later Tractor Power and Equipment. Peter is well known throughout the southern Saskatchewan agriculture community for his many years of sales and service for the New Holland, Case and Versatile lines of equipment. There was never a public gathering where he wasn’t recognized and greeted by one of his customers! Peter is also a member of the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame. He is recognized as a coach and builder of the junior men’s baseball league. Several of the teams he coached achieved nationwide recognition as participants in the Canadian Junior Baseball Championships held annually. Many people throughout the years supported Peter in his baseball endeavors, with special note to Darrell Baker, as well as sister Rose Baker and brother-in-law Norm Baker. There were very few evenings and weekends when the ball team wasn’t playing or traveling to sports days in Southern Sask. Following his retirement from business, Peter became well known in Saskatchewan and Alberta as an owner of standard bred racehorses. He was presented with numerous awards by the racing community for accomplishment including Breeder of the Year, two-year-old colt track record at Stampede Park, Calgary and two year old Filly of the year in Alberta as well as numerous similar awards in Saskatchewan. His contributions to the community as well as to many individual young men and women, over his lifetime are well known by those who knew him. He had a gift to communicate with all people of all ages and occupations, toward instantly gaining their friendship and respect. A CELEBRATION OF PETER’S LIFE will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina, SK on Friday, June 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
