Edna Goguen Gallant FITCHBURG, MASS - Edna Goguen Gallant, 90, of Fitchburg, Mass, passed away at the Leominster Hospital on May 21, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Born in Grande-Digue, NB on April 1, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Aimé Gallant and the late Christine Poirier. Edna attended St-Francis Assisi Church, Fitchburg, Mass. Her husband Clarence died in 1989. Both of them moved to the USA in 1948 and lived there until their death. Edna had been in ill health for sometime, for the last few years she lived with her only son Roger, wife Marcia and their two children, Nicole and Steven. Edna was very happy with her little family. Edna is survived by one son, Roger Goguen (Marcia), Fitchburg, Mass, USA; two sisters, Germaine Rudd (Robert), Shediac, Elizabeth Gallant, Shediac; two grandchildren, Nicole and Steven. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence (1989); several brothers and sisters. There was a Memorial Mass held on May 28, 2005 at 11 AM in St-Francis of Assisi Church in Fitchburg, Mass. Burial was in St Bernard Cemetery in Fitchburg. [Times & Transcript]
